Hiya! I'm Anima: a black panther online, and a rather average American guy in the real world.
To Artists/Popular folks I've friended: I'm not a fanboy, so relax. I never ask for art without having money to pay for it. ;K) I'd like to know you, but I don't want to step on any toes.
Labels are silly but if you must plaster one on me, use 'writer.' A *stalled* writer right now, but a writer. I have talent but I lack sophistication among other things, and my work isn't at a publishable level yet by my estimation. I write sci-fi, fantasy, some naughtier things, and of course manage to fit furry into most of it. My website has most of my work available for review.
I've been a missionary kid in west Africa, a city-recognized poet, a donut fryer, an employee in a government research lab, and a student at three colleges. I've howled with a pack of wolves, howled with a pack of people dressed as wolves (among other things), been an armsdealer (Nerf) and have changed my career goal so many times that I feel like Mr. Dress-up.
I discovered I was a furry about halfway through junior-high. All my life I'd held a fascination for animals and certain cartoon characters; it took the internet to show me what I'd been looking for. I've been MUCKing ever since, and have met some wonderful people.
I'm a dabbler. I'll get interested in something, (such as case-modding, or costuming,) make a good first-timer's effort, and then move on to something else. Not a good habit, I know. My latest foray is into the world of 'propping', creating realistic replicas of movie props. Yay! I'm still in the latter stages of building a proton pack from Ghostbusters. Lately I've taken to painting and modifying a model of Nerf gun I particularly like, called the Maverick. Here are a couple of my finished products. They both ended up on Ebay, :K)

Nestling up with a trusted friend and watching movies is just about the best way to spend a weekend, as I see it.
My names comes from Jungian philosophy, where the 'anima' is defined as the feminine half of the psyche. I've always felt my anima dominated my animus, and personality tests have tended to confirm this.
